WHY HIRE AN ARBORIST?
Selecting the Right Arborist for the Job:
- Check for ISA arborist certification
- Check for membership in professional organizations
- Ask for references
- Ask for proof of insurance
POWER LINE CLEARANCE
Trees that will grow taller than 25 feet at maturity need to be planted well away from power lines. When trees are planted too close to power lines they become a deadly hazard. Trees that make contact with power lines can cause catastrophic fires, and trees growing into power lines will cause electrical outages affecting both residences and businesses.
Trees to Avoid Planting Near Power Lines:
- Ash
- Birch
- Cottonwood
- Elm
- Maple
- Pine
- Quaking Aspens

TREAT COMMON PROBLEMS WITH HELP FROM OUR TREE EXPERTS
Give your trees the tender loving care they need! BA Robinson Tree Service will diagnose what’s affecting your tree and recommend the best treatment to save it when possible. Keep reading for additional information regarding a few common issues trees face in Southern Utah, Arizona, and Nevada.
Tree Bark Inclusions
Where a junction forms in a tree and bark is incorporated into the joint, this is referred to as an “included bark junction” or “bark inclusion.” Such included bark junctions can be substantially weaker in strength than normal tree forks and can become a significant hazard in a tree, particularly when the bracing branches are shaded out or pruned out of the tree.
Bore Beetle Pest Control
Several species of bore beetles infest trees in Southern Utah, Arizona, and Nevada. These beetles eat trees from the inside out, weakening the tree’s structure. If the beetles are not controlled, eventually the tree won’t be able to support itself and become a safety hazard that will need to be removed. BA Robinson Tree Service provides bore control to help avoid the need for tree removal where possible.
Tree Fungi & Diseases
Another issue that could affect trees from growing as they should are certain types of fungi and tree diseases. You may notice small holes or discoloration in leaves if a tree has become infected. In such cases, contaminated branches may need to be pruned, another service that BA Robinson Tree Service can provide.
